Itinerary
Day 1: Ouarzazate to the Dades Gorges via the Valley of Roses and Skoura
Pickup at your hotel at 8:30 am. Visit an ancient kasbah in the Skoura palm grove, then the remote villages of the Boutaghrar area, where nomads still use caves as their homes and may welcome you for tea (small gifts such as sugar, tea or clothes are appreciated). Continue to the Dades gorges and valley for the first night.
Day 2: Dades Gorges to Nkob via Tizi n Tazazzert
After breakfast walk in the Dades Valley with a local guide, then drive across the Anti Atlas through the rock formations of the Saghro range to the small village of Nkob. Dinner and night in a guesthouse hotel.
Day 3: Nkob to Erg Chebbi via Foum Mharch, Ramlia, Ouzina and Taous
Continue toward the Merzouga desert through remote Saharan villages, with silence, wilderness, cups of tea and endless photography.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi to Ouarzazate via the Todra Gorges
Early wake up for sunrise over the dunes, breakfast and the camel ride or a vehicle transfer back to your driver. Head west with stops at the Todra gorges for a walk in the palm grove or along the canyons, arriving in Ouarzazate around 5 pm.
