Itinerary
Day 1: Ouarzazate, Skoura, Todra Gorges, Erfoud, Merzouga
Departure from your hotel at 8 am. Visit the Amridil Kasbah in the Skoura palm grove, continue to Kalaat Mgouna 40 km away among gardens and roses, then Tinghir through the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges for lunch in a restaurant in the heart of canyons 300 m high, with an optional one hour hike. In the afternoon continue to Erfoud via Tinjedad and its old underground irrigation system, passing fossil quarries, to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After a short rest, ride camels to the oasis where the camp is located for dinner and a night under a nomad tent.
Day 2: Merzouga, Rissani, Tazarine, Agdz, Ouarzazate
An early wake up by the camel driver for the sunrise, breakfast and the camel ride back to meet your driver. Visit Rissani, its mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif or the traditional market, stop for lunch in Nkob, then continue to Agdz via the Tansikht bridge and the upper Draa Valley, arriving in Ouarzazate around 5 pm.
