One of the most requested day trips from Ouarzazate. In fact, this is a highly recommended full-day tour, mainly for photographers, nature lovers and travelers who like to see the alternation of colors and contrast changing, beautiful landscapes and fortified kasbahs. The valley of roses is located between the parallel ranges of the high Atlas mountains and Djebel Saghro. After Skoura palm grove you will arrive at Kelaa M’Gouna where the rose festival takes place every first weekend of May. The rose valley track starts here and leads us to the fortified Berber villages until Ait Youl, known for an abandoned Kasbah. En route, you will stop to visit the nomad families living in caves. Afterward, you carry on to Dades gorges and stop for lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon, return back to Ouarzazate via Dades valley and Boumalne.
