First of all, we call it “1000 kasbah road” because of the enormous number of kasbahs we see along the way during this magnificent Ouarzazate day trip. This is a full-day tour out of Ouarzazate to visit the Todra gorges. You will be picked up from your Ouarzazate riad/hotel in the morning around 8 am and transport towards Skoura palm grove, to first visit the Amerhidil Kasbah then continue to Kelaa M’Gouna, the city known for the Persian roses in Morocco (Damaskina). Afterward, the next destination is Tineghir province, a city within the Draa Tafilalte region that is popular for its beautiful palm grove called Todra. About 30 miles long, this beautiful valley with stunning views from the riverbanks will lead us to Todra canyons, a series of limestone in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains. After a drive of 12 km along the valley, you get to Todra gorges, a hidden gem for rock climbers. Take a break for lunch in a local restaurant and decide whether you want to have a hike or just an easy walk in the palm grove and visit the Jewish quarter in Tineghir center before returning to Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.
